Earl Lee Wilson, 51, of Staunton, died Saturday, October 18, 2003 at Augusta Medical Center.

He was born November 1, 1951 in Highland County a son of Thurman “Fuzz” and Catherine Malone Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was of the Methodist faith. He had worked at Roadway and Ray Carr Tires before he became disabled. He enjoyed drag racing and outings with family and friends.

He is survived by his parents of Staunton and four brothers and three sisters-in-law Carl and Vickie Wilson, Lewis and Sharon Wilson, Charlie Wilson and Ralph and Kim Wilson; a special son, Jakari Hart; a special nephew, Eric Strother, all of Staunton and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at Community United Methodist Church on Cedar Green Road in Staunton by Pastor Dr. John Fisher.

Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Memory Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be John Jones, John Childress, Leroy and Chester Moats, Curtis Smith and Eugene Vaughn, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Tuesday evening at Obaugh Funeral Home.
