Dwala McQuain

Dwala Lynn McQuain, 55, formerly of Moyers, WV passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Pendleton Manor.

She was born in Fairfax, Va. on January 21, 1965, a daughter of Donna Raye (Perry) McQuain of Woodbridge and the late Russell Lee McQuain Sr.

A selfless person, Dwala was always willing to place others’ needs ahead of her own. She cared for her family, especially her parents, son and grandchildren very much. She enjoyed watching football, was an avid Redskins fan and loved her pet cats. Above all, she will be remembered as a survivor and fighter, never willing to give up and constantly working to overcome obstacles her life presented.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Chason “Chase” McQuain and his girlfriend, Catherine Sansbury of Moyers; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Candace, Kenlyn and Ciara; as well as her brother, Russell “Rusty” Lee McQuain Jr. of Woodbridge, Va.

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a sister, Cynthia Gayle McQuain.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 in Totten Chapel Cemetery, with the Rev. Walt Westbrook officiating.
