Donald Marshall McQuain, 71, of Staunton died on Friday evening, November 27th, 1992 at King’s Daughters’ Hospital.
He was born on March 22, 1921 in Pendleton County, W. Va., a son of Samuel and Mary (Botkin) McQuain.
He was a member of Totten Chapel United Methodist Church and after 35 years retired from DuPont in 1983. He served in the Army in World War II in Europe. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronz Star and expert marksman.
Donald was preceded in death by his brother, Evertt McQuain.
Surviving are his widow, Jo Anne (Halterman) McQuain of Staunton; two daughters, Dianne M. Eisenbaugh of Stephen City and Lorri M. Simmons of Swoope; two sons, Rodger D. of Staunton and Gary D. McQuain of Verona; a brother, Russel L. McQuain of Dale City; and six grandchildren.
A service will be conducted at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Gregory Miller, with burial at Totten Chapel Cemetery, Moyers, W. Va. with military rites by Sugar Grove VFW Post 9666.
Pallbearers will be Richard Powel, William Simmons Sr., Lewis Miller, Dwain Lovegrove, Bobby Jo Armstrong and Glenn Siple Jr.
