Donald Doyle

MONTEREY, VA Donald L. B. Doyle, 54, of Monterey passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philadelphia, PA. He was born October 30, 1958 in Mustoe a son of the late Paul L. and Lucille Hope (Hise) Doyle. He was owner and operator of Donald Doyle Excavation Company. He had been a member of Victory Chapel Advent Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ceba Doyle and his step-son, Chris Sweeney. Donald is survived by his wife, Lunora Bradley Doyle, whom he married August 21, 1982; step-son, Michael Sweeney, Jr. and wife, Karen; grandson, Mason Ray Sweeney, all of Amissville; three sisters, Margaret Simmons of Stafford, Barbara Rexrode of Fishersville and Cindy Crook of Culpeper; two brothers, Paul Allen Doyle of Mustoe and Chris Doyle of Monterey; nieces and nephews, Curtis and Sarah Bradley, C.J. and Carrie Crook, Paula Doyle, Dwight Rexrode, Glen Hiner, Joseph Liptrap, Aaron Simmons, Justin Doyle, Dillon Perdue, Paul and Jesse Cauley and other special children, Levi and Jacob Bradley. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell with the Rev. Andre Crummett officiating. Burial will follow in Monterey Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be David Hise, Tommy Hevener, Curtis "Bub" Rexrode, Delmas Lowry, Melvin Rexrode, Mike High, Allen G. Lowry, Stephen Mitchell and Berlie Terry. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
