Dewey “June” Wilson Key Jr., 78, formerly of Monterey, died Wednesday, August 16, 2000, at the Springs Nursing Center in Hot Springs.
He was born August 2, 1922, at Highland County, a son of Dewey W. Sr. and Leola Frances Strathy.
He had been a member of Thorny Bottom United Methodist Church. He retired from Hayes-Scott Rail Plant in Monterey. He has worked for Halterman Brothers Construction Co. and the Green Thumb program in the Highland County Public School system.
Survivors include a brother, William Jennings Key of the Springs Nursing Center, formerly of Monterey; and cousins.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Blue Grass Cemetery by the Rev. Jerry Ginn.
Pallbearers will be Glen and Ezra Halterman, Alan and Dale Puffenbarger, Elmer Helmick, Clement Simmons and Jack Beverage.
Friends may call at Obaugh Funeral Home.
