Dennis Brown Malcolm, 70, formerly of McDowell, died Sunday, October 19, 1997, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md.
He was born on August 12, 1927, at McDowell, a son of Henry Harrison and Dora Margaret (Armstrong) Malcolm.
He was a well-known builder/contractor in the Maryland area and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was in the Navy.
He is survived by his widow, Lucille (Snow) Malcolm of Silver Spring, Md.; two daughters, Denise Guth of Jerome, Ariz. and Lisa Rojas of Fulton, Md.; sister, Manilla Smith of Falls Church; four brothers, Van S. od Silver Spring, Md., Elmer of New Market, Va., Clement of McDowell, Va. and Wallace H. Malcolm of Olney, Md.; and two grandchildren, Jessica and Jonathan Rojas of Fulton, Md.
A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, in the Highland Seventh Day Adventist Church by the Rev. Richard Harris.
The family will receive friend at the church one hour prior to the service. The casket will be closed. Burial will be in Highland Seventh Day Adventist Church Cemetery.
