Deloris Jones

Deloris Drinnon Jones, age 77, wife of Joseph “Joe” Hollis Jones of McDowell, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at Pendleton Manor. She was born October 18, 1938 in Eloy, AZ a daughter of the late Charles M. and Ruby A. Drinnon.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Deloris served in the Women's Army Corps (WAC) as a pediatric nurses' aide and remained a nurses’ aide throughout her career. Mrs. Jones attended many churches within the community and volunteered regularly with the Stonewall Ruritan Club in McDowell.
Mrs. Jones was predeceased by her daughter, Delinda League and her son, Douglas League.
In addition to her husband, surviving family members include daughters, Caterina Hinshaw of Wimberley, TX, and Gwendolyn Reynolds of Blanco, TX; as well as her son, Billy League of MacArthur, WV.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in McDowell Presbyterian Cemetery with the Rev. Beth Pyles officiating
