WARM SPRINGS, VA
David Franklin Ryder, Sr., 56, of Warm Springs, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born February 6, 1960 in Bath County a son of Marguerite Louise (Hickman) Ryder of Warm Springs and the late Leroy William Ryder, Sr.
David was a carpenter and a member of Chimney Run Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed time hunting and fishing, as well as spending time with his nieces, nephews and especially his two grandsons.
In addition to his mother, surviving family members include his daughter, Shannon Boguess and husband, A. J. of Hot Springs; sons, David Ryder, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC and Zack Wayne Ryder of Millboro; two grandsons, Jake and Jase Boguess; four sisters, Doris Bare and husband, Rocky of Roanoke, Nora Gibson and husband, Ashley of Warm Springs, Wanda Bradley and husband, David of Hot Springs and Cendy Moran of Warm Springs; three brothers, Leroy Ryder, Jr., Bill Ryder, Sr. and wife, Sherry and Larry Ryder all of Warm Springs as well as a special uncle, Bucky Hickman of Warm Springs and several nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
