Cynthia M. Hicks, age 45, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, November 11, 2006 at the
Medical College of Virginia. She was born September 26, 1961 in Harrisonburg a daughter of Russell L., Sr. and Donna (Perry) McQuain.
Mrs. Hicks was a homemaker.
She is survived by her parents of Moyers, WV; two daughters, Shonna and Lillie Hicks of Fredericksburg; three sons, J.R. Stone of Fairfax, Jason Hicks of Stafford and Samuel Hicks of Fredericksburg; three grandchildren, Isabelle “Izzy” Hicks, Analease Hicks and Colin Barron; a brother, Russell L. McQuain, Jr. of Woodbridge; a sister, Dwala McQuain of Moyers, WV; a niece, Sarah McQuain and two nephews, Chason McQuain and Dustin Rhinehart.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, November 17, 2006 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by the Rev. Dave Boger.
Burial will be in Totten Chapel Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Russell McQuain, Jr., Chason McQuain, Jimmy Stone, Patrick Stone, Zachary Showalter and Gomer Antiquera.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
