Curtis Lee Rexrode, 92, of Stuarts Draft, died Saturday, June 5, 2004, at King’s Daughters Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in Staunton.
Mr. Rexrode was born October 12, 1911, in Winterburn, W.Va., and was the son of the late Emory Jackson and Ada Mae Moats Rexrode.
He was a former member of the Civilian Conservation Corps and was employed at Hooke Brothers Lumber Company.
On March 19, 1935, he married Dorothy Elizabeth Johnson, who preceded him in death March 9, 2001.
He is survived by six daughters, Curtisene Adams of Maryland, Nina Conner of Roanoke, Marie Bishop of Staunton, Sarah Hite of Verona, Jane Morgan of Crimora and Donna Burns of Stuarts Draft; two sons, Thurllo Rexrode of New Castle and Nathan Rexrode of Blue Grass; a sister, Ann Rickman of Waynesboro, 19 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Donald E. Rose will conduct a graveside service at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Asbury Cemetery.
