Curtis Charles Ramsey, 82, of the Forks of the Waters community of Highland County, died Thursday, February 7, 2002 at the Springs Nursing Center.
He was born, September 30, 1919, at Beards Fork, W.Va., a son of Orville and Bettie Duncan Ramsey.
He served in the Army during World War II in the European Theater. He was a coalminer and a member of V.F.W. Post 4989 at Highland County.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Thomas D. Ramsey.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Elizabeth Ramsey, whom he married August 23, 1947; two sisters, Mildred Ann Keith of Cartersville, Ga. and Mary Elizabeth Swires of North Augusta, S.C.; a brother, James Ramsey of Mansfield, Ohio and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Blue Grass Cemetery, with the Rev. Larry Turner presiding.
Pallbearers will be Gideon Hiner, Harold Arbogast, Omar Judy, Joe and Justin Will and Dennis Wimer.
Mrs. Ramsey will receive friends at her residence.
