Creola “Alberta” Moyers, 76, of Monterey, died Saturday, October 29, 2005 at Alleghany Regional Hospital. She was born February 23, 1929 at Marlinton, W.Va., a daughter of the late Thomas and Goldie Miller.
On March 29, 1969, she married Melvin Eugene Moyers.
Mrs. Moyers was a homemaker and she was a member of Green Hill United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Moyers of Monterey; a daughter Joy and Kyle Moyers of Monterey; two sons, Toby Fertig and Chris Hefner, both of Monterey; four grandchildren, Eddie Moyers, Melissa Roberts, Perry and Barry Moyers; five great-grandchildren, Shana Roberts, Linday and Carrie Moyers, Whitney Hunt and Ransom Moyers; and special friends Blondie and Chris Smith.
The Rev. Mark Davis will conduct a funeral service at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell. Burial will be in Hightown Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Eddie, Perry and Barry Moyers, Chris Hefner, Dean Hunt and Steve Hise. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters and friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
