Clayton "Randy" Hylton

Clayton “Randy” Hylton, 57, of Monterey, died Thursday, June 19, 2008 at his home.
He was born December 17, 1950 in Richmond a son of Ida Louise (Cox) Hylton and the late Henry Hylton.
Mr. Hylton was a maintenance engineer. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church, where he was a regular in attendance at prayer meetings and part of the men’s fellowship.
He dearly loved his church family.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn “Kathy” Hylton of Monterey; his mother, Ida Hylton of West Point; an aunt, Katherine Cox of West Point, who was like a second mother to him; a son, Robert Clayton Hylton of Richmond; a step-son, James Fortenberry, Sr. and a step-grandson, James Fortenberry, Jr., both of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Mary Williams of Gloucester and Dale Gerdin of West Point and three beloved pets, Bailey, Lottie and Taylor.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Sunday, June 29, 2008 at Highland Baptist Church by the Rev. Mark Davis.
