Clara McLaughlin

Clara Agnes McLaughlin, 87, of Alexandria and formerly of Mustoe, died on Monday, May 18, 1998 at Alexandria Hospital, Alexandria.

She was born on January 28, 1911, at Trimble, a daughter of Andrew Jackson Sr. and Martha Irene (Armstrong) Terry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clem Kenton McLaughlin, on July 25, 1989; three sisters, Elizabeth, Emma and Minnie Lockridge; and three brothers, John, Harper and A.J. Terry Jr.

She was a homemaker and member of Hamilton Chapel Advent Christian Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary Ann Kuzniar of Alexandria and Theola Folks of Tuxedo, Md.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Bradford Moles, with burial in Hamilton Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Paul and Tommy Terry, David, Michael and John Colaw; Jeffrey McGlaughlin and Buddy Hunt.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends, nieces and nephews attending the service.

The family will receive friends two hours before the service at the funeral home.
