Cherie Robertson

February 12, 1971 — July 25, 2023

Hot Springs

Cherie Robertson, 52, of Hot Springs, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.

She was born February 12, 1971, a daughter of Kathy Dale (Baldwin) Morton of Hot Springs and the late Thomas Fred Hise. On September 19, 1987 she married Ronald “Ronnie” Eugene Robertson.

Cherie was a member of Hot Springs Baptist Church and often attended Chimney Run Church of the Brethren with her husband.  Her working career began at Bacova Guild as a printer. From there she moved on to The Homestead where she was employed as a falconer, a vocation she truly enjoyed and excelled at.

Always active outdoors, she enjoyed kayaking on the Jackson River, backpacking trips with her family, coaching her children's little league teams, and walking her dogs whom she loved so dearly. Above all, Cherie will be remembered as her daddy’s girl, a loving and devoted wife to Ronnie, a fierce mama bear to her children, a fighter, and a devout child of God.

In addition to her mother, as well as her husband of 35 years, Cherie is survived by her children, Matthew E. Robertson and wife, Angel of Hot Springs, Miranda Dale Crouse and husband, Joshua of Hot Springs, Mironica Nicole Robertson of Goshen, Liberty Nolan of Covington and Destiny Nolan of Hot Springs; siblings, Tommy Lee Hise of Hot Springs, Melinda Hise of North Carolina, Heather McDaniel of Hot Springs, Charles “Moe” Hise of Warm Springs and Tina Dunaway of Alleghany County; her beloved grandchildren, Winchester and Thomas Burke, Karoline and Luca Robertson, Kayden, Colten and Chance Jack, as well as Carson and Maisy Crouse.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Chimney Run Church of the Brethren with pastors Billy Robertson and Garland Humphreys officiating.

The family will receive friends half an hour prior to the service and following the service during a meal of fellowship at the church.
