Charles Revercomb McCormick

Charles Revercomb McCormick, 85, a farmer of Williamsville, died Sunday, September 20, 1992 at Bath County Community Hospital.

He was born June 11, 1907 at Williamsville, a son of Charles Hunter and Emma (Revercomb) McCormick. On May 19, 1943 he married Elsie Shinaberry.

He was a deacon and elder of Williamsville Presbyterian Church for many years. He had served as a member of the Bath County Board of Supervisors, The Bath County Welfare Board, the Bath County ASCS committee and a member of the Mountain Grove-Williamsville Telephone Co.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Charles Davis McCormick of Williamsville; a sister, Sallie Farrar of Richmond; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn McCormick of Williamsville; two granddaughters, Tammy Gallimore and husband, Jay of Williamsviille and Gail Armstrong and husband, Kevin of Campobella, S.C. and one great-grandson, Hunter Paul Gallimore of Williamsville.

A service will be conducted 2 p.m., Tuesday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. D. DeLacy Young. Burial will follow in the McClintic Cemetery.

A Masonic memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. and the family will receive friends from then until 9 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be John and Bobby Lockridge, Carl Haynes, William Revercomb, Lee Shinaberry and Bobby Lee Marchasll.

Memorial contributions may be made to the McClintic Cemetery, Staunton, Va. 24401; Hot Springs-Bath County Rescue Squad, Hot Springs, Va. 24445 or to a favorite charity.
