Charles Milton "Fuzzy" Ralston Sr., 69, of McDowell, died on Thursday morning, March 18, 1993 at his residence.
He was born on March 8, 1924 at McDowell, a son of Eddison V. and Mabel (Varner) Ralston.
On Nov. 7, 1947, he married Bonnie Marie Sponaugle, who survives.
He was a member of Hiner Church of the Brethren and the AARP. He had worked for 38 years for Hooke Lumber Co. and after retirement was a local barber.
In addition to his widow, surviving are four sons, Charles M. Jr. of Blue Grass, Harry T. of McDowell, Roger L. of Staunton and David J. Ralston of Monterey; a brother, Dennis Ralston of Fredericksburg; a half-brother, Roger L. Moats of Verona; three sisters, Beulah Simmons of McDowell and Daisy Hoover and Bonnie Nuckols, both of Staunton; three half-sisters, Mary Lambert, Wilma Harlow and Dorothy Moyers, all of Staunton; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. John Garber, with burial at McKendree Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jack Botkin, Jake Rexrode, Robert Lambert, Joe Simmons and Jerry and Wickie Hooke.
