Chad Lotts

Chad Linwood Lotts, 17, of Monterey died January 28, 1996 at his residence. He was born April 30, 1978 in Hot Springs, a son of David Lotts of Monterey and Sheila Shepherd Lotts of Lynchburg.

Chad was a senior at Highland High School and a member of the Highland golf team and varsity baseball team. He was employed part-time at The Recorder. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

Surviving besides his parents are a sister, Shannon Lotts of Lynchburg, maternal grandparents, Austin Shepherd of Monterey and Loretta Dalton of Concord.

He was a grandson of the late Albert Martin and Mary Mildred Lotts of Monterey.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 1, 1996 at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Jerry Ginn. Burial will be in Blue Grass Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Fred Whitelaw, Melvin Rexrode, Richard Waybright, C.W. Hammer, John  Rexrode, Willie Smith, Bub Rexrode, Mike High and Scott Arbogast.

Honorary pallbearers will be classmates of Highland High School.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
