Brenda Hull Lightner, 48, of Monterey, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002 at her residence. She was born August 14, 1953 at Warm Springs a daughter of Matlin T. and Fay C. Lindsay Hull.
Mrs. Lightner was co-owner of Ernie’s Market in Monterey for 29 years. She was president of the Highland County Livestock 4H Club.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest H. Lightner, Jr. of Monterey; her parents, Matlin and Fay Hull of Monterey; two daughters, Christina Marie Lightner of Waynesboro and Melissa Dawn Lightner of Franklin, W.Va.; two sons, Ernest H. “Tray” Lightner III of Crested Butte, Co and Matlin Tyler “Matt” Lightner of the home; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Ira and Barbara Hull of Hightown; a sister and brother-in-law, Terry Lynn and Melvin Rexrode of Monterey; a special aunt and uncle, Doris and George Simmons of Richmond and a number of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 26, 2002 at the residence.
The family will receive friends anytime at home.
