Bobby Gene Botkin Sr., 48, of Verona, died Wednesday, August 31, 1994 at King's Daughters' Hospital.
He was born August 10, 1946 at Harrisonburg, a don of Ressie Virginia (Puffenbarger) Botkin and Loyd Fleisher Botkin.
He spent most of his life in construction work and had worked for five years for Moffett Paving Company in Staunton.
In addition to his mother, surviving are two daughters, Teresa Bradley and Barbara Malcolm, both of Staunton; one son, Bobby Gene Botkin Jr. of Waynesboro; five sisters, Frances Lerdahl of Madison, Wis., Myrtle Washington of Mt. Crawford, Kitty Coffey of Stuarts Draft, Janet Nance of Staunton and Paula Fitzgerald of Waynesboro; five brothers, Stanley of Harrisonburg, Lee of Verona, Leo of Ottobine, Darhl of Pleasant Valley and Vernon Botkin of Fulks Run and one grandson.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Crummett Run Church by the Rev. Robert Alley. Burial will be in the Crummett Run Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gary L. Cash, Roger Maddox, Julian Moffett, Sonny Owens, Wayne Bunch, Lacy McCray and Neal Coyners.
Honorary pallbearers will be nieces, nephews, Dennis Long and Robert S. Britt.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. at Obaugh Funeral Home.
