Berlin Rexrode

Berlin Lee Rexrode, 78, of Monterey, died Sunday morning, February 4, 1996 in the Pendleton Nursing Home in Franklin, WV.

He was born September 21, 1917 in Highland County, a son of Cameron Lloyd and Almeda (Wimer) Rexrode. On December 24, 1949, he married Dorean L. Rexrode.

He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and he retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation after 43 years of service.

Surviving along with his widow are two sons, Johnny of Moyers, WV and Melvin Rexrode of Monterey; two grandchildren, Melanie Rexrode of Monterey and Derek Rexrode of Moyers, WV; sister, Pauline Ralston of Crimora.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Haley with burial at Blue Grass Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jim Hefner, Dale Beverage, Charles Varner, Robert Marshall Jr., Bill Smith, Eugene Ratcliffe, Mack Ratcliffe and Harold Newman.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 this evening at the funeral home in McDowell.
