Berlie Mead “Cub” Rexrode, 73, died Monday, June 1, 2004. He was born May 29, 1931 at Monterey, a son of the late Emory J. and Ada Moats Rexrode.
Mr. Rexrode was a part of the McKendree United Methodist Church. He was a retired self-employed logger.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Louise Rexrode on December 5, 1987. He was also preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Edith and Donnie Burns of Staunton and Debbie and Bob Ralston of McDowell; three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Kay Rexrode of Staunton, Gary and Patsy Rexrode of McDowell and Danny and Kim Rexrode of Warm Springs; five grandchildren, Kathy Fields, Tammy Burns, Justin Burns, Ben Ralston and Meagan Rexrode; four great-grandchildren, E.J., Jamie and Amanda Campbell and Shyann Roadcap; a brother, Cortis Rexrode of Stuarts Draft and a sister, Ann Rickman of Waynesboro.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Friday, June 4, 2004 in the McKendreee Cemetery by the Rev. Dave Boger.
Active pallbearers will be Carlston Vandevander, Lou Smith, Steve Burns, Bill Strickler, Chris Simmons, Hubert Ratcliff, Ben Ralston and Justin Burns.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
