Barbara Jean Wagner, 55, died at her home Friday, October 3, 2003 following a long illness.
She was born August 10, 1948 in Marlinton, W.Va., a daughter of Lloyd and Donna Long Cassell.
She graduated from Green Bank High School and on May 27, 1966 married Dale Wagner.
She was a homemaker and had been employed as a seamstress at the former Aileen, Inc. in Monterey.
She was a member of Church of God in Green Bank.
Her mother preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Wagner, of Monterey; her father Lloyd B. Cassell of Dunmore, W.Va.; a daughter and son-in-law, Michele L. and Michael Kirkpatrick of Staunton; two sons, Bradley S. Wagner of Monterey and Michael Dale Wagner of Staunton; two sisters, Elaine Landis of Franklin, W.Va. and Nancy Wagoner of Harrisonburg; a half-sister, Coleen Queen of Cass, W.Va.; a half-brother Edward Taylor of Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was conducted 2 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2003 at Obaugh Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Samons officiating.
Active pallbearers were Brain Landis, John and Jeff Wagoner, Billy Mullins, Darryl Wagner, William and Robert Taylor, Dee Newcomb and Sonny Galvez.
Honorary pallbearers were friends attending the service.
