Arnold Lee Propst, 60, of Moyers, W.Va. died Wednesday, September 27, 2000 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 4, 1940, at Moyers, a son of Fred Leo and Myrtle Lynn (Mitchell) Propst.
On February 9, 1967, he married Norma Jean Rexrode.
He was a farmer. He had worked in highway construction in Ohio until 1979. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and a past trustee of the church.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Linaberg, Eugene Rader and Jerry Propst; and two sisters, Ida Mary (Linaberg) Snyder and Marilyn Propst.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter Thelma Jean Propst of Columbia, S.C.; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael Lee and Renee Propst of Harrisonburg, Va.; two granddaughters, Jessica Noel and Morgan Leigh Propst of Harrisonburg, Va.; a sister, Velma P. Blondina of Lynchburg, Va.; four brothers, Harley L. and Sheldon N., both of Harrisonburg, Stanley W. of Franklin, and Jesse C. Propst of Moyers; nieces and nephews.
A service was be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jerry Smith will burial in St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be brothers and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. tonight at Obaugh Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
