Alice Myers Hodge, 74, died Tuesday, December 18, 2001 at Bath County Community Hospital.
She was born August 16, 1927 at Clifton Forge, a daughter of John Emett and Sadie Virginia (Huffman) Myers.
She married Charles Randolph Hodge October 5, 1946. She was a homemaker and a part-time employee at the Williamsville Post Office. She was co-owner of Slim’s Grocery Store in Williamsville, a member of the Williamsville Presbyterian Church and a member of the Bath County Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, J.P. “Jay” Myers and William L. “Bill” Myers.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Randolph Hodge of Williamsville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Brian Puhle of Hot Springs and Pam and Billy Webb of Burnsville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Cathy Hodge of Hot Springs, Donnie and Ingrid Hodge of Stafford and Ronnie and Adaline Hodge of Williamsville; a grandson, Stephen Hodge of Hot Springs; three granddaughters, Tara Hodge of Hot Springs, Svenja Hodge of Stafford and Jessica Webb of Burnsville; a sister, Marilyn McAllister of Millboro; a brother, Hugh Myers of Buena Vista and a number of nieces and nephews.
A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Williamsville Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Lawrence Brunson. Burial will be in Williamsville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will Charles Davis McCormick, Don Harris, Robbie Weaver, Robert L. Marshall, Eddie Webb, Calvin and Tom Myers and Charles Hodge.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends and family attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Obaugh Funeral Home.
