Alice Arbogast

Alice M. Arbogast, 84, died Thursday morning, October 12, 1995 at Oak Hill Nursing Home in Staunton.

She was born May 26, 1911, at Blue Grass, a daughter of Josia and Lucy (Slaton) Puffenbarger.

She was a housewife and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Samuel Arbogast on June 3, 1979; and daughter Myra McLynn.

Surviving are two daughters, Irene A. Hefner of Monterey and Kathy Sweet of Staunton; two sons, Harold W. of Blue Grass and Robert S. Arbogast Jr., of Weyers Cave; two sisters, Dorothy Vann of Virginia Beach and Virginia Puffenbarger of Bridgewater; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Jerry Ginn with burial at Blue Grass Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mark and Timmy McLynn, John Robert Arbogast, James Kelly Sweet, Elzie Grogg and Charles Puffenbarger.

Friends can call at the funeral home anytime or at the homes of the family.
