Albert Beverage
May 18, 1922 — June 11, 2008
Albert Jeremiah Beverage, 86, of Monterey, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Bath Community Hospital. He was born May 18, 1922 at Monterey a son of the late Isaac Luther and Clara Hester (Seybert) Beverage.
Mr. Beverage was a livestock farmer. He was a member of the Monterey United Methodist Church. He was an avid flower gardener, who took great pride in showing the garden to area groups. Also evident was the hospitality he graciously shared with the bird watching community. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII having served in the Pacific Theatre.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Seybert and James Beverage and two sisters, Virginia Beverage and Rebecca Mohney.
He is survived by three brothers, Nicholas Beverage of Monterey, Dr. John Harmon Beveridge of Nashville, TN and Charles Byron Beverage of Richmond; a sister, Lucinda Hiner Beverage of Monterey; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and a special friend, Peggy Hiner of Monterey.
A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Monterey Cemetery with Rev. Derek Tomek officiating. Pallbearers will be Conley Colaw, Gideon Hiner, Scott Beverage, Charles Beverage, Jr., Jimmy Beverage, Jerry Beverage, Ted Magilley and Henry Falkner.
