Virginia Lee (Botkin) Kisamore, 84, of Churchville passed away Friday, April 15, 2022 at her home.
She was born in Highland County on February 8, 1938, a daughter of the late Roy A. and Pansy Elizabeth (Varner) Botkin. On February 8, 1958 she married Ray Edward Kisamore.
Mrs. Kisamore was a member of Hiner Church of the Brethren and a former member of the Lynn Rock Church of the Brethren.
An active homemaker, Mrs. Kisamore enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, cooking, baking and canning the summer crop. She loved traveling, especially with Ray on wagon-train trips and to horse shows. She liked watching animals and birds and dearly loved her furry friend, “Ralphy”. Above all, Mrs. Kisamore will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
In addition to her husband of 64 years, Ray, she is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth “Libby” Britt and Sandra Tackett and husband, Hiram; two sons, Gary Kisamore and wife, Mary Ann and Steve Kisamore and wife, Pam, all of Churchville; grandchildren, Doug Britt and wife Cara, Drew Britt and wife, Tiffany, Heather Marshall and husband, Lee, Shelby Kisamore and Olivia Tackett; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Walker and Lillie Britt and Mason and Autumn Marshall; brothers- and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews; as well as her caregivers, Lisa Burke and Norma Liptrap.
She was predeceased by her parents, son-in-law, Butch Britt; foster brother, Donnie Armstrong; and caregiver Linda Griffin.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Obaugh Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Fike officiating, Interment will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Churchville.
Active pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be immediate family, Justin Taylor and Tony Riley.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday or anytime at the home of Ray. In addition, the staff of Obaugh Funeral Home will receive family and friends wishing to pay their respects between 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, April 18 at Obaugh Funeral Home.
