June Ann (Ellsworth) Hevener, 80, of Fredericksburg and formerly Monterey, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021.
She was born in Alexandria, a daughter of the late Clarence J. and Edna B. Ellsworth
June favored a quiet, simple life, and she was never one for pretense. To all who knew June, she will forever be remembered as a woman with a big, warm and giving heart. The one word most consistently mentioned in describing June is, "sweet."
She is survived by three sons, Glenn Conner of Falmouth, Gregory Conner of Monterey and Gwayne Conner of Alexandria; four grandchildren, Gillian Tucker, Jennifer Meyer, John Luke Conner and Jeremiah Byerly; and three great-grandchildren, Mariah Conner, Krissy Conner and Ayden Tucker.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Henry M. Hevener.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m., Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Highland Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Davis officiating. Inurnment will follow in Monterey Cemetery with Rev. Philip Bishop officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to your local Animal Shelter.
