John William Jack, 95, of Pendleton Manor in Franklin, WV and formerly of Blue Grass, Va., passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Pendleton Manor.
He was born March 30, 1926 in Blue Grass, a son of the late Evelyn (Kiser) and Robert Martin Jack.
Mr. Jack was a member of Blue Grass United Methodist Church. He was a livestock producer and very active in maintaining Monterey and Blue Grass cemeteries. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards, especially Rook.
John is survived by a daughter, Mary “Lenora” Ralston and husband, Charlie of Blue Grass, Va.; son, John W. “Billy” Jack Jr. of Blue Grass, Va.; three grandchildren, Caitlyn E. Ralston of Inwood, WV, Charles “Calvin” Ralston of Blue Grass, Va. and Peggy Sue Gross of Richmond, Va.; as well as two great-grandchildren, Bentley and Skylar.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Mary Hilda (Lemasters) Jack on April 5, 2021; brothers James R. Jack and Robert “Bob” Jack
A graveside memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, April 15, 2021 in Blue Grass Cemetery with Rev. Andre Crummett officiating.
