Donna Reed

Donna Marie Reed, 55, of Charlottesville, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018.

She was born December 18, 1962 a daughter of the late William Robert and Shirley “Nan” Temple (Simmons) Armstrong.

Many will remember Donna for her culinary abilities as well as her love of traveling, most especially trips to the beach.

Donna passing comes following a lifelong battle with addiction, and though a troubled soul, her family and friends remember her for the intelligent, kindhearted and loving person she truly was.  With her passing comes peace and the glad reunion with her father and mother, she loved so very much.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by a niece, Christie Botkin.

Surviving family members include sisters, Vickie Botkin of Headwaters and Peggy Vandevander and husband, Carl of Palmyra; her brother, Bobby Armstrong of Scottsville; nephews, C.J. and William Vandevander, and Robbie Armstrong; her niece, Sara Mills; several great-nieces and nephews; a special uncle, Ralph Simmons of McDowell; as well as her beloved dog, Boogie.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 3, 2018 at McKendree United Methodist Church.
