Amber Whitelaw

Amber Hope (Ervin) Whitelaw, 32, of Hightown passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at her home.

She was born on December 30, 1985, the middle daughter of Linda “Gail” (Roberts) and Samuel Revercomb Ervin Jr., in Staunton.

A thrill seeker, Amber will be remembered as enjoying life to its fullest and always looking ahead to her next adventure. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, eating honey buns, shopping, as well as decorating her house. Above all she was a devoted mother, always placing her children first and treasured every moment spent with them.

In addition to her parents of Hughes Springs, Texas; she is survived by her children, Arianna and Malachi Whitelaw, both of Hughes Springs, Texas and their father, Matthew Whitelaw; two sisters, Tara Morrow of Sunsites, Arizona and Morgan Fritts and husband, Robert of Hughes Springs Texas; special nephews, Jonah, Zakery and Colt Morrow, as well as Mason and Cooper Fritts; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Amber was predeceased by her paternal and maternal grandparents and special nephew, Samuel Salmons.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Obaugh Funeral Home with pastor Lorie Aikens officiating and speakers Nick Patler and Amy Good. Interment will follow in Burnsville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Timmy Neil, Robert Fritts, Eric and Derek Smith, Grady Moats and Steven Nelson.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.
